1 min read

Vietnam has 13 free trade agreements (FTAs) in force, including the most recent FTA with the European Union. Two other FTAs were signed in 2020: with the United Kingdom, and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) with nine members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), plus Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea. Two other are under negotiation: with Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, and with Israel. Overall, Vietnam will have FTAs with nearly 60 economies that make up about 90% of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP).
